Lakshmi Rai is an Indian film actress and model from Belgaum, Karnataka, predominantly appearing in Malayalam and Tamil films. While most of her Tamil releases performed poorly at the box office, she rose to fame with the popular Malayalam-language films Annan Thambi (2008), 2 Harihar Nagar (2009), Chattambinadu and Evidam Swargamanu (2009), establishing herself as one of the leading actresses in the Malayalam film industry.

Lakshmi Rai initially worked as a model before entering the film industry. She appeared in several television ads such as Sylcon Footwears, Josco Jewellers and Emmanuel Silks.

Rai made her acting debut in 2005 in the Tamil film Karka Kasadara. Subsequently she appeared in a number of unsuccessful Tamil films, including Kundakka Mandakka (2005), Dharmapuri (2006), and Nenjai Thodu (2007). In 2008, she began working in more serious films such as the drama film Velli Thirai, in which she played herself, and the action thriller Dhaam Dhoom. Her portrayal of a lawyer in the latter garnered her a Filmfare Award nomination in the category for Best Supporting Actress. She made her debut in Malayalam in 2007, starring in Rock & Roll opposite Mohanlal, which performed poorly at the box office. But she followed it up with several successful films such as Annan Thambi, 2 Harihar Nagar (2009), Evidam Swargamanu (2009), and Chattambinadu (2009) opposite Mammootty, which helped her gaining fame and popularity in Kerala. Further concentrating on Malayalam works, she is currently working on two Malayalam films, including the much-anticipated Christian Brothers and Casanovva both with Mohanlal.

Priya Anand is an Indian film actress and model who appears in Tamil and Telugu films including, Leader and Vaamanan. She born on 17 September 1986. On 20 June 2011, Anand was chosen as the ambassador for the "Save the Children" campaign for both Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

In the second half of 2011, she filmed for her debut Hindi film English Vinglish, produced by R. The film opened to mixed reviews and proved to be commercially unsuccessful. She next starred in her first Telugu film, AVM Productions' Sekhar Kammula directed political drama Leader, alongside newcomers Rana Daggubati and Richa Gangopadhyay. She recalls that an assistant director of Kammula had found her on Facebook and invited her and how she had to audition thrice for the film to prove herself and eventually got the offer.

Priya played Ratna Prabha, a television channel reporter and friend to a young man, who would later go on to become a political leader. Although her screen presence in the film was very limited, her performance garnered overwhelming response and was well received, while the film itself earned positive reviews and became a critical success.

The Dil Raju-produced family entertainer Rama Rama Krishna Krishna was her last 2010 release, in which she plays the love interest of the film's male protagonist. She next starred in 180, a bilingual Tamil-Telugu project by ad filmmaker Jayendra, which was her only release in 2011.

Priya was initially supposed to make her acting debut in the Tamil film Pugaippadam, which she signed up first, but since its release was delayed until 2010, her first release became the action-thriller Vaamanan, directed by newcomer Ahmed.

Priya Anand was signed for the project in late 2008 to portray Divya, a simple girl next door, whom the male lead character, essayed by Jai, would fall in love with. The film created some anticipation before its release, mainly due to its hit music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, which enabled a big opening, with the song "Aedho Saigirai", which was picturized on her, being considered as her "claim-to-fame" that made her popular among Tamil audience, and being dubbed as a "Priya song". However the film got a lukewarm reception and fared only averagely at the Chennai box office.

I have always abided by what men say. As a result I developed an extreme desire for freedom. I feel like Che Guevara. I have to do everything I want, otherwise I feel like I may as well be dead."

However, Florian Boitin, the editor in chief of German Playboy, claims Sıla Şahin is not a Muslim, saying, “Sila isn't Muslim. Her father doesn't belong to any and her mother is Christian. And the Playboy cover with Sila Sahin is not a religious statement.”

Şahin was born to an actor father and lives in Charlottenburg. She is 1.71 m (5 ft 7 1⁄2 in) tall and speaks four languages: English, German, Kurdish and Turkish.
